I have a number of research and management roles within the group across all the European Projects. Currently I am the Project Coordinator of VR-HYPERSPACE "The innovative use of virtual reality to increase human comfort by changing the perception of self and space" (AAT 2011-285681) which began in October, 2011 and runs for three years. I am the Scientific Coordinator of the FP7 EU project ManuVAR "High value, high knowledge manual work throughout all phases of the system lifecycle using virtual and augmented reality" (CP-IP-211548) which will end in April, 2012. I am managing the work on IMOSHION "Improving Occupational safety and health in European SMEs with help of simulation and virtual reality" SME-2-243481 which began in March, 2011. I am also part of the FP7 EU project VISTRA "Virtual simulation and training of assembly and service processes in digital factories" (ICT-285176) which began in September, 2011.
I have been active in European projects for over ten years, in most cases as workpackage leader or task leader, and was the project manager of VIEW of the Future (IST-2000-26089). Before then I was involved in several research and consultancy work with industries including Ford Motors, British Aerospace and British Nuclear Fuels Laboratory (BNFL). I was a researcher on IRMA (IMS-1999-0006), Future_Workspaces (IST-2001-38346) and Knowmakers (E/02/B/F/PP-115743). I was the Integration Manager for the network of excellence INTUITION (virtual reality and virtual environment applications for future workspaces IST-507248-2) as well as a Cluster Leader and workpackage manager of a number of tasks, and the Leader of the working group for Education and Training. I managed the research work in DiFac (IST-5-035079) and was involved in a variety of roles CATER (IST-5-035030), CoSpaces (IST-5-034245) and SATIN (IST-5-04525), CoSpatial (ICT-231266) and MyUI (ICT-248606).
