The Department of History is committed to students past and future and encourages students who have graduated from the Department to keep in contact and become actively involved in the on-going development of an alumni community with the Department of History.
University Alumni Community:
The University has an Alumni website where you can link up with old friends, find out about events in your region, or get career advice if you fancy a change of career. All you have to do is to give the Alumni Office your contact details and they will send you copies of alumni publications and invite you to reunions and events in Nottingham, the UK and world-wide!
Alumni Careers Event:
Each year the Department invites former students to come and talk to our second and third year History students about their choice of career and the path that took them there. These are enjoyable and popular events which can give our current students valuable insights and ideas for their future careers. We are always looking for volunteers to take part in these events so if you are willing to share your experiences and discuss what History did for you please contact Alyson Heery .
Provide a student profile:
We are always looking for student profiles that share information about your course and time at Nottingham or your career progression since graduating. Please contact us if you would be willing to be featured in a student profile on our Department website and in marketing materials for the Department.
Keep in touch!
Please encourage your friends and class mates to get involved and keep us up to date with any changes of address/contact details via the alumni website. Please also let us know if there are subjects you would like to hear more about or receive information on.
